Terms of Service — Kowalink

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Kowalink account or using any part of our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kowalink.

2. Who we are

Kowalink is a product of Adscod Ltd, a company registered in Uganda. Kowalink is a social commerce platform that helps African sellers create a shop link, showcase their products, and receive orders via WhatsApp. We provide software; we are not a payment processor, bank, or marketplace that holds buyer funds.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract in your country of residence to use Kowalink. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
You must provide accurate information during registration and KYC verification.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@kowalink.app if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Kowalink offers paid monthly subscription plans (Lite, Pro, Premium). A 30-day free trial is available on the Lite plan.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and automatically renew unless cancelled.
All prices are shown in USD and local equivalents; the charge currency depends on your payment method and location.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Kowalink to:

Sell counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited goods or services.
Harass, defraud, or mislead customers or other users.
Upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with our systems.
Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the platform without permission.
Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules without prior notice.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the product listings, images, and other content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Kowalink a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and deliver that content as part of operating your shop. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights.

8. Orders and transactions

Kowalink facilitates order capture only. The contract for sale is between you (the seller) and your customer. You are responsible for fulfilment, customer service, refunds, and any disputes arising from your transactions. Kowalink takes no commission and is not a party to any sale.

9. Intellectual property

All Kowalink software, branding, and platform features are owned by Kowalink and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written consent.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Kowalink is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kowalink's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
